Kleenrite Carpet Cleaning

Frequently asked questions

How long have you been cleaning carpets and upholstery?

Brian started the business in 1993 with one machine and a Ford Granada estate. From this we have worked in many properties servicing many different business sectors, winning contracts with schools, offices and Alstom. Not forgetting, of course, our loyal, domestic customers. Obviously we don’t have the Granada, we have 2 vans fully equipped to deal with most situations.

Why should I use you and not just get a Rug Doctor, or any other domestic machine?

When cleaning carpets and upholstery, it’s not just what is put down or how much, it’s about the extraction afterwards: That is the most important part. The fact is, a professional machine has a lot more vacuum power than anything you can hire. If you don’t extract what you put down then it will take longer to dry, can cause shrinkage and can leave bad smells. More importantly it leaves a sticky residue, that dirt loves and within no time your carpets are looking dirty again

How often should I have my carpets cleaned?

Various surveys from organisations, such as ‘WHICH?’, have found that carpets can be up to 6-7 times dirtier than the pavement outside. Carpet manufacturers recommend that they are professionally cleaned every 12-18 months. Carpets should be cleaned on a regular basis and before they become heavily soiled. Not doing this significantly reduces the life of a carpet.

What cleaning methods do you use on carpets?

We have various systems and methods to use. We can assess your carpet and general environment and come up with what we think will best suit your needs. We have the traditional and very effective hot water extraction method, a dry foam method and a dry compound method. All systems are state of the art and modern machines, which we have invested thousands into.

What cleaning method do you use on fabric & leather upholstery?

Traditionally we used the hot water extraction system on fabrics and we had a very long winded and drawn out method for leather. All that changed when we invested in two machines which does both. It is a dry foam method, which has your fabric upholstery dry within 1hr or 2hrs maximum - dry and ready to relax in again, all clean! Leather is cleaned in the same fashion, but using specific leather cleaning products. It is then polished and reconditioned leaving you with clean-looking leather that looks like new.

Are you insured?

Yes, we are fully insured for accidental damage and for public liability for £1million. So rest assured you and your property is in safe hands.

Do you have call out charges?

NO, unlike some of our competitors, we do not charge for a call out as we like to visit you and give a completely free and no-obligation quote. This, as we have found through experience, gives you the fairest and best price.

Can you deal with flood water / burst water tanks?

YES, we have attended many flooded premises over the years and been able to extract the flooded water. We will then leave a drying system in place and return once dried to clean the carpet and/or upholstery, if required by you.

Do you work out of normal working ours?

YES, we will work whenever suits you best. So if you’re a club, pub, bar, restaurant, school etc... and need us when the public aren’t there, that’s not a problem.

Are the chemicals you use safe for children and pets?

Yes, we use Craftex cleaning products, which are readily biodegradable, ozone friendly and are 100% child and pet friendly. All packaging is recyclable. All products adhere to CHIP and COSSH regulations and NO animal testing has ever been carried out on any Craftex product.
